SIZE AND TEMPLATE REFERENCE

Start with a footprint. Approve the actual contour.

Nominal base dimensions help buyers compare starting formats, but the finished fit depends on the template, perimeter, and verified cuttable area.

INDUSTRY COMMON KNOWLEDGE

Common nominal stock-size references.

These rectangular dimensions are reference starting points used in the trade, not a statement that Havelock Hair stocks them. Buyers still compare the footprint with the required coverage and head contour. A cuttable margin is the verified area that can be trimmed without removing a required construction zone; it must never be inferred from the outside dimensions alone.

6" × 8"

152.4 × 203.2 mm

A compact reference footprint. The usable result depends on the required contour and the construction's actual cuttable area.

7" × 9"

177.8 × 228.6 mm

A mid-size reference footprint. Confirm coverage against the head template before treating the nominal rectangle as suitable.

8" × 10"

203.2 × 254 mm

A larger common reference footprint. The nominal size still does not prove that every edge can be cut to every contour.

GENERIC HOW-TO · INDUSTRY PROCESS

How to make a head template.

This workflow records a physical contour. It does not state that Havelock Hair receives, validates, stores, or manufactures from a template.

  1. 01

    Prepare the materials

Use clear flexible film, skin-safe tape, a permanent marker, and a measuring tool marked in inches and millimeters.

  2. 02

    Build the film shell

Place overlapping layers of film over the target area without changing the natural head shape, then reinforce the shell with tape.

  3. 03

    Trace the perimeter

Draw the intended base contour while the shell is seated. Check the line from the front, sides, crown, and back.

  4. 04

    Mark hairline and direction

Label the front hairline clearly and add arrows for the intended hair direction so the template cannot be rotated by mistake.

  5. 05

    Record special zones

Mark recession, crown, parting, attachment, scar, or sensitive zones and add measured dimensions in both unit systems.

  6. 06

    Preserve and share the reference

Label the template with a non-sensitive project ID, photograph it flat with a scale, and package it so the contour is not distorted if it is sent.
